Traditional and dynamic, in continuous change, at the rhythm of our land Built for the first time from 1621 to 1655; totally restored in 1844 after a fire and modified in various occasions due to the earthquakes suffered by the city. It has a New-Renaissance style and it is built in lava stone (stone of a volcanic origin) with brick domes. Inside it works of art are outstanding, such as: the major altar made in marble by the Spaniard Felipe Moratilla, the carved wooden pulpit made by the French Buisine Rigot, and the monumental organ from Belgium made by Francoise Bernard Loret.. Its chapel of out Lord of the Great Power is frequently visited by faithful devotees from the city.
